Training Activity of the Project “Extension of ViP DinaricA in the CBC Region Albania-Kosovo”

During the 29-30 June 2018, with a starting point from Boge, Rugova, Pejë/Pec Region, a training for the Markers of Mountain Trail Arrangement was organized, in the framework of the project "Extension of ViP DinaricA in the CBC Region Albania – Kosovo".

This training comprised a two-day programme in the field of trail marking and it consisted of lectures on legislative framework and standards, mountain trail and documentation, topography basics - reading cards, working documents for arranging the trail, recording the parameters for setting the trail including the practical work on the trails. This training was provided for candidates to acquire specific knowledge about the relevant standards on trails, including rules on marking and signposting on trail maintenance. The training was a combination of the theoretical and practical part, conducted on the future trails of Via DinaricA connecting Kosovo with Albania.

At the end, the participants received a certificate as Trail Developer Stage II in line with international standards. 10 participants hikers - host clubs from Albania and 10 participants from Kosovo as candidates were trained by professionals of MAK in the field of planning, arranging, marking and maintenance and use of hiking trails.
